Here ya go

What a lovely three day weekend. I wish there could be more of them in the year. Only 26 days until President's Day weekend!

For the recap you've all been waiting for...

Saturday 3:00pm: We all met at the bowling alley. Brad Pitt II in his pre-approved outfit, playing it very cool meets Five. He thinks she's cute. We chit chat as a teeny bopper party is beginning next to us (mmmm, pizza). Awkwardness level - not too bad since we're with them. We bowled three games. Five is not a great bowler, but I don't have much room to talk. My husband got a 185 one game - 4 strikes in a row. He won 2 games and LFL won the last. Everyone was having a good time. But why was my kiddie ball wet every time it came up the shoot? Oil on the lane? Something more disgusting? Yuck.

LFL asked Five if she'd like to go out after bowling and she made a vague comment implying all four of us would go. So, Five and I were in the bathroom (I washed my hands for about five minutes straight, no kidding) and I asked if she wanted to go out just the two of them. She said she'd prefer we all go - maybe ice cream.

So I drove with Five and we all headed over to Burbank to go to B&G (Ben & Jerry's). Along the scenic route I took everyone (got a little lost) would you ever guess that in LA there is a horse only lane on the road? Picture a bike lane, but with lots of horse lane signs and more crap on the streets. Who knew? We were by the equestrian center in Griffith Park, but still.

We finally got to Burbank, passed the loads of poor saps waiting in line to see Cloverfield (the guys saw it on Friday night, both said it was terrible) and sat at B&G's for an hour or so. They both ordered Half Baked, a sign of true love? Of course.

It ended in the parking garage, with talks of meeting again over IM. It was clearly reminiscent of Rhett and Scarlett in a modern day Gone With The Wind. We shall see...

Thanks for the update! Sounds like you all had a nice time.
Ahh, B&G, now that brings back memories!
Interesting about the horse lane, was it anywhere near the "drive by biking"?! :)

I think the drive by biking was by the Observatory. I almost forgot about that!
