Random stuff

Storm Watch: Crazy big storm is just starting to hit our fair city. The overly dramatic weather people are saying it's gonna be "the worst storm to hit in decades". I'm choosing to ride it out at the Macys one day sale tomorrow.

I got to work in under 25 minutes today. It usually takes an hour and 15ish. Every night this week I've gotten home in roughly 25-30 minutes. This is a beautiful thing. I don't want the holidays to ever end, or the schools to go back in session or the strike to resolve. This town is actually pleasant (that's right, pleasant) when 3/4 of the people are gone.

Two weeks to go until the big blind date between Five and Looking For Love. Details are TBD, but I'm thinking it'll be dinner and a movie on Sat night.

Can you imagine being this guy?

Apparently, the kayaker is a marine biologist and was investigating a great white shark. Little did he know, the shark had been following him from below and then came up for a closer look. The pic was taken by a guy on a nearby boat. (S&S - they call him a canoeist!) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=505753&in_page_id=1770
