Stalled

This election has been a nice distraction recently. It has almost made me forget that there are no new jobs. The past 3 weeks or so has been pretty discouraging, job wise. Since the economy started tanking, there's been a dramatic slow down in new postings. It makes sense, so many companies are laying off, not many are hiring. It seems the few that are new are IT, Finance or some equally non-related field. The end of the year is always a little slow. I hope after the new year things will pick up.

On the other hand, I'm a giant believer in timing and when it's meant to be it'll happen. When I've been on great job interviews that end up going nowhere, I'm ok with it. There's a reason I wasn't meant to get that job and go down that road. So I believe that even though there have been some really good openings that we haven't been called for, it's ok. It'll happen when it's right.

I also regret to say that we were right - just because we have good experience, it doesn't mean we'll have offers thrown our way. I wish we were wrong about that.

This election and the new incoming administration totally fuel my love of politics. I've mostly looked for TV jobs for myself and occasionally environmental and political jobs. I should really dive more into political/DEM party jobs.
