I went to the beach for lunch today. It's really only a 5 minute drive from my office. So I sat there for a half hour and just watched the waves. There were a couple surfers to watch too.
I've decided that as much as my commute sucks/LA sucks, I should take the advice I gave my sister - enjoy the time you have out here and try to take advantage of the things that are fun to do here before you leave.
I sit in an office 5 minutes from the ocean and I know of a very easy parking area (unheard of near the beach). How many people could sit on the beach during their lunch? I'm gonna try to go down there at least once a week.
